Is Ignorance Bliss?

Truman’s point of view

I Truman Burbank think that Ignorance is not bliss. Recently, I have just found out that I was trapped in a dome and was a television show. First, I feel like that imprisoning me was inhumane. I think from keeping reality from me is wrong because I was born like any other normal human being but I wasn’t given the same things. Even though I was brought and raised in this dome. Having my wife, my friends, and my parents are wrong because they don’t actually mean what they are saying. People are putting words in their mouths and telling them what to say to me. I was the puppet and he was the puppeteer, he was forcing me to do things, for instance when I tried to run away I didn’t let me but instead he set up a lot of obstacles so that I can’t escape. But I cut the puppeteer’s strings by escaping the fake world that I used to live in and went out of the dome. But by doing that I have ruined the so-called ‘Truman Show’. The world, the place you live in, is the sick place’. He’s saying things that counter the things he said. When he said the world was a sick place I understood him because when he tried to kill me, he did it without hesitation. It meant that he was one of the people that was from the sick world.
