Personality Reflection
We ask ourselves what makes a person different from one to the next? What makes someone stand out in a crowd? I tell you now the answer is personality. Personality shapes us as individuals. Everyone could have brown eyes and brown hair; but what makes me stand out is who I am inside. My life and the events that have shaped me into the person I am today, make up my personality. My friends and family, people I have loved and lost make up my personality. As I look back at my life and the events that have led me to this point, I realized the situations I have overcome have shaped me into the person I am today. Without realizing it at the time, each and every individual has created a personality that is his or her own. Women and men alike have had their failures and their triumphs that have shaped their personality. There are a lot of different views and definitions people use for describing personality. It all depends on that person; however, I would define personality as the complexity of one’s character that distinguishes said individual, group or nation. For instance, some key personality features that my friends, family and myself would describe me as having would be being strong-willed, hardheaded, determined, caring and sarcastic. I believe this is because I not only like being heard but understood as well. If I have something to say I will explain or argue my point until I feel issues have been settled. This is one of my main key concepts or “constructs” and because I am this way others tend to find me extremely strong-willed, determined and even hardheaded. Nonetheless, every individual is different when it comes to personality. There are many different types of people in the world and all of them have personality features that make them unique.
